Freebirth Support
My freebirth support is for women choosing to birth as the authority. They choose to experience intervention free, unmedicalised, autonomous, powerful births.
If you're here looking for freebirth support, its because you already know there is another way to welcome your baby. You are grateful for medical professionals and feel reassured they are available if ever needed, but you know that inviting that system into your birth journey, along with pressures of induction, monitoring and interventions, doesn’t feel aligned with the experience you want. You want to be at home, in a space where you feel calm, safe and able to fully surrender to the process of birth without interruptions. You want your partner beside you, fully present in the experience, not pulled into the role of advocate or protector.
You're here because something deeper is calling you - a trust in your innate wisdom and your body's ability to bring your baby into the world exactly as it was meant to unfold.

Client Testimonial
"Nikki was an incredible support both leading up to and during our freebirth. We did think we wanted midwives present but I began to feel unsupported and even pressured at times, and soon realised that having them in my birth space is not what I really wanted. Nikki never judged by decision and she believed in me and my ability to birth how I wanted. Whenever I had wobbles or started doubting things leading up to the birth (which happened a lot, especially with all the opinions from friends and family!!) she always reassured me, helping me build the trust in myself. When it came to the birth I felt safe, calm and genuinely supported the whole way through. It’s hard to explain, but having a free birth and fully surrendering made me feel so strong and capable and I'm still carrying those feelings with me 2 months later. We’ll always be so grateful to Nikki for everything and would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula."

Freebirth Support Package
This package is perfect if you are planning an autonomous birth
6 x Birth Preparation Sessions:
Over six sessions in the comfort of your own home, we'll take the time to truly get to know each other. We'll explore what you want from your birth, honouring your hopes and fears and deepening the trust you already carry to birth your way. The sessions are led entirely by you and what feels right at the time, but we'll gently work through debriefing any previous births, planning your dream birth, working through fears and limiting beliefs, understanding the physiology of birth, strengthening trust in your body, preparing for birth emergencies and supporting your birth partner.

Birth Support:
During your birth, you'll have someone by your side who truly knows you, your story, your wishes and your vision for how you want to bring your baby earthside. From 38 to 42 weeks, I'm on call for you 24/7, ready to be there whenever the moment comes.
How I support you will always be led by you. I don't offer medical advice but I'll be a steady, calm presence throughout, offering emotional and physical support in whatever form feels right. This might look like breathwork and massage, holding the space, keeping you nourished, preparing your birthing space or quietly capturing the moments you'll want to remember.
Birth support looks different for every person and every birth. We'll talk through exactly how you'd like me by your side during your birth preparation sessions.

WhatsApp support:
We’ll stay connected between sessions through a private WhatsApp group. This is a great way for us to stay in touch, share updates and for me to share evidence-based resources. The continuous support begins at the time of booking, no matter how early and continues until 6 weeks after the birth, so I can help you to feel prepared and supported every step of the way.

Birth pool:
You have use of my pool from 37 weeks until after your birth. You will just need to purchase the disposable items, such as the pool liner.
1x Birth Reflection Session:
I will visit you at home within the first two weeks after birth. This visit is a chance to reflect on your birth experience and talk through any support you may need as you adjust to life with your baby. (Additional postpartum or breastfeeding sessions can be booked, if needed.)

Is Freebirthing for me?
Freebirth (or unassisted birth) is the conscious choice to birth at home, without medical professionals present. Birthing outside of the system is a valid and legal choice. Some women choose to invite a doula or birth keeper to their birth for emotional and practical support.
Maybe you've only just come across freebirth and something about this way of birthing has caught your attention. Or perhaps you’re considering it because you sense there could be a different kind of birth experience available to you - something beyond the trauma you may have experienced before or the stories you’ve heard from others. You might feel that it's possible but still having some doubts. Is this really the right choice? What if things go "wrong"?

Free birth might be the right choice for you if:
-
You feel drawn to a more natural, physiological, instinct led birth
-
You want to birth at home in a calm, private, undisturbed space which is deeply personal to you
-
You’re questioning the current maternity system and how safe it is for you and your baby
- You have trauma or disappointment from previously birthing in the system
-
You don’t want to have to fight for your birth choices and spend your pregnancy preparing for battle
-
You’re not here for health professionals telling you “you’re not allowed to...” or “you have to...”
-
You know that routine interventions and policies don't align with your values
-
You have some fear about birthing outside of the system, but still feel called to this way of birthing
